More Myspace Code Tweaks

To add to my list of Myspace tips and secrets, I'll give you more Myspace codes that you can use to tweak the layouts of your Myspace profiles. Here's a very good accessory site actually: Ugotbling.com. Check it out!

Because your Myspace profile tells a lot about you -- about what type of person you are, what are you likes and dislikes, what your views on life are, etc... -- it is best to build and accessorize it according to your personality. Example, if you are an emotional person, an emo layout may suit you best. Or if you are a rockstar-wannabe, you can maybe use Myspace accessories and graphics that display a rock theme.

The more interesting your profile is, the more new friends you'd get to meet. So take time to add style and beautify your profile page to match it with your personality.

Hide Your MySpace Log-In!

In MySpace, it is difficult to hide from your friends because there's this label that shows when you're online, plus the date when you last logged in on the site is displayed on your profile. Therefore, it might not be believable to say that you haven't opened your MySpace account for a few weeks now when you're last log in is dated only yesterday! Lol.

However, you can actually hide your MySpace last log in information. Here's a code you can copy on your MySpace About Me section so that your friends wouldn't know when you last opened your account:

There! Now, you can make up any excuse why you weren't able to reply to a message or send back a comment to your friends in MySpace -- because you haven't opened your account yet (even if you did)!!

Here's a MySpace Magic...

Have you heard of the MySpace Angles where MySpace users take a picture of themselves in certain "angles" that would make them look pretty, hot, and very attractive? Amazing, eh?

But, truth is, it's not a magic..It's actually more of a deception because they get people to notice their cute and sexy poses when they are actually not whom others think they are.

So beware! Before falling into the MySpace angle trap, make sure to know your MySpace friend well first. Ask for more pictures and get to know them better. Because the last thing you want to happen to a well-prepared night out is to see your MySpace date in person and freak out!

Recognizing Fake People in MySpace

Pissed off with the endless invitations to free ringtones, surveys, and friend adders. Tired of deleting spams from your so-called "MySpace friends"?

While MySpace is a great site for keeping in touch with old friends and meeting new friends, it gets less and less reliable everyday with the increasing number of fake users who intend to sell or promote something instead of creating larger network of friends!

But, don't you know that it's easy to recognize fake people in MySpace? That's right! Here are some clues you ought to remember before accepting an invite from someone pretending to be your friend in MySpace:

Profile layout and background: 90% of fake MySpace users do not take time to customize their profiles. They usually leave it plain and simple.

About Me: Real people introduce themselves properly and sometimes tell stories in the About Me section of their MySpace profile. Fake users, on the other hand, do not fill this up or sometimes put very generic descriptions only.

Images: The more personal pictures there are, the more real the user is.

Other details: The more specific the details are (like interests, religion, education, occupation, etc..), the more real and believable the user is.

Comments: Fake users usually have very few comments, if not none.

Friends: Like comments, fake users have very few friends.

Links: Profile of fake users are filled with clickable links that will bring you to the site that they are promoting.

Blogs, forums, groups: Fake users do not take time to blog or join forums and groups. They are simply there to browse MySpace members and send them messages as invitations to the site that they are promoting.

Get the hints? At least now, you'll absolutely know whom to accept and decline on your MySpace friend requests

Adding Friends in MySpace

Ok, so you've registered for a MySpace account, set up your cool layout and background, and uploaded your best picture. But why aren't other members seem to notice your profile? Why is it that you're stuck with Tom as your only friend? Lol.

As much as you'd want to be popular on MySpace, most of the members would like to do so, too. And popularity can not be achieved overnight -- unless you use one of those Friend Adder software that would let you add about a thousand friends to your account in just 1 day, but I'm pretty sure would involve you in some spamming strategies. So, if you want to maintain a clean account, do not take chances with these software...especially since there are actually pretty effective (and decent) ways to add friends in MySpace!

So, you want to add and meet new friends, right? Here are some of the ways you should consider:

1. Make an interesting profile. Make sure to fill up all the info needed. Make a vivid description of yourself in the About Me section, but make sure that it's true and that you're being yourself.

2. Customize your profile. Choose cool backgrounds and layout themes for your MySpace profile. You can even embed funny or amazing images, accessories, music, and videos that would be interesting for other users.

3. Upload several good, quality personal pictures of yours. Most MySpace users look at the photos of other users first before checking their profile. Plus, in the Browse section of MySpace, only picture and name of users are being displayed, so your picture is among the first things to be seen by other people looking for new friends.

4. Communicate. Send and reply to messages. In making friend requests, it's better to make it personal so users won't think that you're just a spammer trying to make gazillion friends in MySpace.

5. Be nice and polite. Users wouldn't want to be friends with rude, insensitive people! So thank them for compliments, comment back, and greet them with a what's up? every once in a while.

Most importantly, just be yourself. Stop pretending to be someone else. You can be popular in MySpace but it takes time, patience, and a little effort..Good luck and have fun meeting new people! :)

Getting Started: What is MySpace?

Ok, so all your friends have at least one MySpace account and they keep talking about it every time you get together. So, you ask "What is the big deal with MySpace?"

Well, since you click on this link, I am assuming that you are not a MySpace user or maybe you are but not as fanatic as your friends or maybe you just don't get what the fuss is about. Well, you know what? Today is your lucky day because I will tell you what the real deal is with MySpace!

What is MySpace?

To start off, MySpace is a social networking website. When we say social networking, it allows users of the website to interact with one another. Therefore, MySpace allows you to talk to, share interests, and make friends with other users.

MySpace is becoming more and more popular everyday because most people use it to look for long lost friends and relatives, make new acquaintances from all over the world, join groups of people sharing the same interests as them (music, movies, games, sports, etc...), and find that one special person they are meant to be with! :)

What else can be done with MySpace?

MySpace offers many interesting features, some of which are blog, bulletin, comments, groups, forums, news, and even multimedia tools like music and videos. This is exactly the reason why some people spend hours on the Internet just browsing MySpace -- because you don't really need to go out to meet new people and get to know them well.

What's up with personalizing MySpace profiles?

To personalize your MySpace profile such that it is themed according to your taste and personality, you can change its layout and background, add images and songs, and even embed videos. Making your profile interesting would attract people to view it and thus, allowing you to meet more friends.

Singing up on MySpace...

Prepare a couple of your pictures, ready with your personal infos, and visit MySpace to get started...So that the next time your friends talk about how they met a really cute guy on MySpace or how they accessorized their profile, you can share the same experience!
